Alexander Whittington
Alex Whittington is a new attorney at Kitchens Law Firm. Born and raised in Bossier Parish, Louisiana, Alex comes from a family that has lived in the area for many generations. After graduating from Benton High School, Alex attended Louisiana Tech University, earning a degree in Business Finance in 2019. Following undergraduate studies, Alex obtained a Juris Doctorate and a certificate in civil law studies from Mississippi College School of Law. As a law student, Alex received the Judge Robert G. Gillespie Award for Best Oralist for his advocacy skills in trial competitions, including the Miller National Environmental Law Moot Court Competition (NELMCC). He also received Best Paper Awards in legal Analysis, Pre-trial Practice, and Civil Law Property.
Before joining Kitchens Law Firm, Alex served as a Community Liaison for United States Congressman Mike Johnson, who was selected as the 56th Speaker of the House of Representatives in 2023. In this role, Alex worked directly with federal agencies to resolve constituent casework and regularly met with elected officials throughout the 4th Congressional District. Additionally, Alex externed at the Louisiana Second Circuit Court of Appeal, assisting in drafting final opinions and working on supervisory writ applications and Post-Conviction Relief (PCR) filings.
Alex has experience representing clients in a variety of legal areas, including complex litigation matters, railroad defense, personal injury, accident defense, employment law, municipal defense, mineral lease and contract law, and constitutional law at both the state and federal level.
